Story Time Pride

Storytime Pride is a free, community-centered literacy festival created to celebrate independent storytelling, imagination, inclusion, and the power of books. Hosted and curated by indie author Kristina Lewis and co-hosted by Amanda Harris of Art Inclusive and venue owners Gabe and Kaitlin, the event brings together authors, families, readers, writers, vendors, performers, and local organizations for a day dedicated to creativity, connection, and representation.

Set at The Little Feminist Farm in Stockbridge, Georgia, Storytime Pride transforms the space into a welcoming storybook world where every family can explore, learn, and feel seen. The event highlights the voices of indie authors across all genres, giving emerging and established writers a platform to share their work, meet readers, and connect with the community.

From fantasy and romance to poetry, memoir, children's books, and contemporary fiction, the Indie Author Spotlight celebrates the diversity and passion of independent storytelling. Alongside that, the Children's Storytime Spotlight features books that promote equality, self-love, kindness, and inclusion.

Families can enjoy read-aloud sessions led by engaging storytellers, discover new children's books that reflect a wide range of identities and experiences, and connect with creators who are passionate about empowering young readers. This space is designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and compassion in children through stories that affirm who they are and who they can become.

One of the most joyful parts of the festival is the Drag Storytime experience, where local drag performers bring children's books to life with warmth, humor, and theatrical flair. These performers create a magical, welcoming atmosphere that encourages kids to celebrate creativity, self-expression, and the joy of being exactly who they are.

Beyond the author and storytime features, Storytime Pride offers hands-on and community-building activities, including craft tables, vendor booths, a dedicated resource table, a raffle fundraiser, and a photo and memory corner. Whether you are an indie author, a reader, a parent, an educator, or simply someone who believes in the magic of stories, Storytime Pride offers a warm, joyful space where everyone is welcome.
